Process
Maymont’s celebrated aviary, encompassing wooded hillside and stream topography close to the James River, provides a vast, open-air habitat for a resident bald eagle, and includes six smaller aviaries for hawks, owls, and vultures. An observation boardwalk allows visitors to meander through the habitat, and a new amphitheater provides a venue for educational programs and concessions.
