Process
The adaptive use of an historic garage as an art gallery resulted in a stark setting for contemporary art display and openings. Minimal architectural intervention was required for this rehabilitation tax credit project. New walls stop short of the ceiling to reveal original brick surfaces, and roof trusses, lighting, and ductwork are exposed. A concrete structure enclosing offices and storage floats within the main space.
