John chose to pursue a career in architecture because he was drawn to the multifaceted nature of the field. “Architecture is a discipline in which the pursuit of knowledge and expertise in art, history, science, personal expression and collaborative engagement are not only encouraged, but required in order to be successful,” he notes. “Who wouldn’t want to work in this field?” John draws inspiration from clean lines, the natural world, and the transformative power of place. He’s grounded in the pragmatic reality that we spend the majority of our lives surrounded by built environments; as such, he’s driven to create spaces that enable end users to live more engaged, emotionally satisfying lives. Drawn to 3north because of its collaborative culture and interdisciplinary design approach, John works within the firm’s commercial and residential studios. When he’s not in the office, he likes to spend time with his family, build things and walk in the woods.
John received his Master of Architecture from the Spitzer School of Architecture at City College of New York.
