"Being interdisciplinary brings diverse perspectives to our projects. It allows us to turn challenges into opportunities and form a holistic design."

While Maggie has always been drawn to the arts and design, it was a visit to Virginia Tech’s architecture studio that sparked her interest in the built environment. She still clearly recalls exploring the studio and finding it to be unlike anything she’d ever seen. Captivated by rows of hand drawings, sketches, and models, she knew then that she was destined to be an architect. Today, Maggie draws inspiration from colors, textures, patterns, and life’s everyday beauty. She is a firm believer in the importance of thoughtful details to successfully transform a place, and in the ability of design to impact our lives positively and powerfully. The diverse breadth of project type and firm vision is what attracted Maggie to 3north. Maggie has served in various leadership roles in AIA Richmond, AIA Virginia and Richmond Women in Design and because of her service to the profession, she recently received the AIA Virginia Emerging Professional Award. In her free moments, you can find her practicing yoga, playing volleyball with her women’s team, or exploring with her husband and their pup, Jackson.

Maggie received her Bachelor of Architecture from Virginia Tech.
