Philana believes great design has the power to strengthen communities, enrich everyday life, and create spaces where people feel valued. Passionate about design equity, she approaches each project with curiosity, empathy, and a thoughtful, people-centered mindset. She was drawn to 3North’s collaborative culture and its commitment to design excellence across a diverse range of project types, where each new challenge presents an opportunity to create meaningful, lasting impact. Outside the office, Philana enjoys volunteering in her community and finding inspiration while exploring stationery shops, thrift stores, and local bookstores.
Philana earned her Bachelor of Architecture from Virginia Tech. She is a licensed architect in the state of Illinois, a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), and a LEED Green Associate.
