Process
A diminutive residence designed by Ernst Flagg exemplifies the architect’s designs as published in his book Small Houses (1922). A rear addition maintained the purity of Flagg’s design by creating a distinct link — a glazed pergola and courtyard — between the house and a new stone wing, where the forms and materials of the original inspired exquisite workmanship and details.
