Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden enlisted the help of the 3North to breathe new life into a timeless landmark, the Klaus Family Tree House. With a focus on education programming, adventure play, dramatic views, and connections to surrounding gardens, the renovated and expanded structure is a haven for explorers of all ages. The interior of the tree house has been activated with expanded windows, a balcony overlooking the lake, and a spiral staircase to the cloud tower, opening the space to the nature surrounding it and offering expansive views of the garden. The space below the tree house was adapted to make spaces for both contemplation and adventurous play to invite curious minds to dive deeper into the layers of experiences on offer. Visitors can enjoy panoramic views of the lake and Garden from the Canopy Room and Cloud Tower, which are also programmed with information on birds and binoculars. Local high school students even had a hand in decorating the decorative windows, tying the community even closer to this beloved structure.
